    got outside he felt his pockets and there was something heavy in them. He put his hand into his pocket and pulled out a big lump of gold. He was overjoyed and he began to plot and plan how to spend it. When he had arranged how to spend all the gold he put his hand back into his pocket again but there was not a scrap of the gold to be got. Thus he went broken-hearted. There were never any animals seen haunting the place but there were lights seen in it before the treasure had been taken away but not after.
