It is said that there was a sand pit in the village of Roundfield a very long time ago and in this sand pit there was a little fairy man. One day there was a poor boy passing through the field when the sand pit was and he saw the man below in it and he said good day to the man and the man said good day to him the man asked him where he was going the boy said he was going begging and the man gave him two bags of gold and he lived happily ever after.
