(continued from previous page)Just like the limited mail,The local peasants are going to work,The turf season now we all do hail,Soon will be heard the toilers laughterWhere nought was heard but the Gaoithe SidheAnd the banshee's wailSoon will be seen the old time customs,The little turf-fires,And the smoke going in the air.The old time feats they are recordedBut none to-day with them can compareYoung folks are off to the fountainTo fetch spring water pure and real.Then the man cook will be busy very busy,Boiling eggs for the midday meal,At luncheon time the sames repeated,Which fills each workmans heart with gleeWhen served with bread and butter,Two fresh eggs and a big mug of teaThis great refresher set us all in motionUntil the sun is sinking low,Then like a trumpet sound is heardThe shout which means "Home boys home we go".Home along the beautiful roadway No more hardship there will beThanks to our great and noble statesmen(continues on next page)- Informant
