About seventy years ago a labouring man nicknamed 'liam na gcleas' of Ballymacward, Woodlawn, Country Galway used to be giving bad example at wakes by being drunk and using bad language. Father Patrick Duffy of Mount Hazel, Castleblakeney, Ballinasloe, County Galway heard this and when liam when to confession Father Patrick told him he would have to go next day to Reek Patrick to do penance.
When Father Patrick got up next morning to his surprise he saw his rick of turf scattered around his yard, liam thought it was Father Patrick's rick he meant.
