    The (puls) population of this parish is 1734. There are 405 families in it. My townland got its name from a lake outside the town. There are many old people living in this parish. They tell lovely stories in Irish.
    My Father told me that there is no song about Menlough. There are about twenty ruins of houses in this district.
    There is very little boggy land in this district. There are three big woods in it. The
