  1. Some people long ago had schools out in the open air. There is a ruin of an old school at Doonwood about two miles from Menlough.
    The teacher that taught in Menlough was Mr Morgan and he had his school at one of the old houses in Menlough.
    At that time we had no Irish at all, and we had none until 1920.
