  1. These cures is well known amongst the Irish people.
    (1) If a person had the whooping cough and if he met a man on a white horse and asked the man for a cure no matter what cure the man would give him if it was only a cup of cold water the whooping cough would depart from the person.
    (2) If a person had a wart which he wanted to get rid of and if he went into a house and stole a piece of bacon and put it on the wart the wart would disappear.
