The cure for measels; take hot drinks or anything such as warm. The porous plaster is good for pains. The poor-mans plaster is also good for pains. The muster plaster is good for any animal it is good for coughs and savare pains. When people are born about the end of March or at the end of April can be cured but by certain things
- One can see if passing along by Streamstown two rocks, standing, about five feet high and two tons in weight. Tradition tells us that they were used in fight by two giants who lived there once. There are about a quarter of a mile apart and it is said that the giants were that distance apart when they fired the rocks.
One of the giants was sowing oats in his field one day and the other seeing him at a distance said "That it may never come up' and the giant that was sowing the oats shouted "That you may never come up now". At that they aimed the rock at each other.(continues on next page) - Collector
