Once upon a time a young man set out from home to seek his fortune. His mother gave him a gold coin to keep him in provisions until he secured work. He set off early and was travelling until nightfall. Just as it was getting dark he sighted a house in the distance. Making the house his mark, he travelled quickly in its direction. On coming near he saw it to be a lordly mansion. He knocked at the door and was admitted, given his supper and his bed pointed out to him.
