    The principal parts are: the staff, the lid and the bowl.
    Butter is made once a week in Summer and once a forthnight in Winter. My mother makes the churn, which occupies half an hour at least.
    Strangers who come in during the process take a turn at the making of it so as to remove any suspicion the people of the house may have on them concerning the working of "piseógs. When the butter is made it splashes the buttermilk therby making known to the people that it is fully made.
    The buttermilk is used in several ways; some of it is drunk, some put into air
