people of this locality help each other in setting the potatoes; For example a man has only one horse and a neighbour lends him one for a day, and he repays him by giving his horse for a (week) day in return and so on.
Shortly after being sown a mixture of potash and nitrate of soda is applied so as to supply the potatoes with a certain amount of minerals lacking in the soil in this district.
