  1. The only herb of which the natives of this district have definite knowledge is "slánlús" It grows in the meadows with the hay in Summer and it was formerly used for the cure of cuts and bruises.
    The leaf was plucked off the stem and chopped up and boiled for about an hour; and when it used be boiled it used be taken up and used hot so as to have an effect in the drawing out of the infected matter.
