  1. I live in Knockmeal in the parish of Duagh and in the barony of Clanmaurice. There are forty people living in the townland, three of whom are over seventy. Their names are: Mrs James Shanahan, Mrs Michael Sheehy and Mrs James Corridan, all of who reside in three "next door" houses.
    None of them can speak Irish but the three of them are good story tellers in the English language. The name most common in the townland is "Corridan" three families
