    81. If a person had a boil put the paper of blackening (black polish) to it.
    82. To stop a nose from bleeding press the blade of a pocket knife to the bridge of the nose.
    83. If you have warts on your hands you could cure them by rubbing a black snail to the warts. Then hang the snail on a White Hawthorn tree and as the snail rots the warts will disappear.
    84. If a cow has the scour get the roots of briars and boil them and give it to the cow to drink.
    85. There was a cow and she had the "murn" and all the cures they tried failed. Finally a man said to tie a cord to a frog's leg and hold up the cow's head and let the frog go back as far as possible until she would chew the chud.
    86. If you had a wine scar scratch the root of the comfery and it will cure it.
