    36. If a person saw the moon out through the window he would meet with some accident.
    37. Locking the doors of the cow house May night for fear some one would come and carry the good of the milk.
    38. If a person left the tongs at the left side of the fire when going to bed that the fairies would pull him out of the bed to put it at the right side.
    39. If you got a safety pin lost it is a sign of good luck.
    40. You could not trust a small eyed person.
    41. If a spark hopped out of the fire you would get money.
    42. When a tooth would fall from you you should make the sign of the cross with it and then throw it over your left shoulder.
    43. A division between your teeth you will cross the sea.
    44. If you leap across a person that person will never grow.
    45. If you killed a cíaróg it would take seven deadly sins off your soul.
    46. If you buried a calf with his legs turned upwards all the neighbours cows would die.
Stories are told which go to prove the old piseóg which says that it is unlucky not to give away the clothes worn by the dead. I have heard one which says that a woman was seen after death (Dingle district) without her stockings. It was later learned that the stockings had not been given to anybody
