A vision came into my view.
It was a ship sailing over the ocean,
As the wind it tremendously blew.

Up on deck stood a handsome young lassie,
Her equal I never saw before,
And she sighed for the wrongs of her country

And asked for the cause of her sighs,
Saying "Cheer up, my pretty fair maiden,
For I'll be your slave for the voyage".
