On one occasion Blakeney Kitchener had no one living with him but a servant girl.

On one occasion Blakeney Kitchener had no one living with him but a servant girl. One night moonlighters came to shoot him. He had light in every window but one at which he and the servant were. It was the servant girl that was loading the gun for him. He never got any wound but wounded some of them. He was firing at them. The cocks were crowing in the morning. He knew that they were wounded and he sent for the blood hounds but they were not able to trail the blood so he could not find out who the moonlighters were.
