  1. Once upon a time a man dreamt that in a hole in the ditch near the house there was a small bag of gold hidden there. The following day he began digging but it was of no use doing it for he found nothing. The following day he was ploughing the field and he found a small sum of gold. He sent it away and he got three pounds sixteen shillings for it. About a couple of years after he met a small man who told him to go to the forth near his own garden that night and he would be there to meet him, and to tell him where about he would get the gold. The man went to the forth and the little man told him to go up the tree and he would get gold. The man went up the tree and found a little bag of gold and went away home as fast as he could.
