  1. A man named Jack Kirby who lived in Springmount about 50 years ago dreamt three times that a man came and told him that treasures lay buried underneath the foundation stones of the old monastery in the graveyard. Digging was carried on all round the ruins but the foundation stones could not be raised unless the ruins were torn down, and as this was not down nothing was found.
