There were six brothers in Knockenure district by the name of Drury, all poets. There is a story told about Paud Drury the eldest and this is it.
One time Paud was turning bawn for a farmer and he was not pleased with the way he was treated. This day they all sat down to dinner - himself and three men and the man and woman of the house. The workmen had very tough meat so while the others were chewing Paud composed a verse:
O Lord on high
Who rules the sky
Look down upon us four
And give us meat that we can eat,
And take away the boar.
