    There is a fort in Bedford in the land of Jerry Kennellys.

    There is a fort in Bedford in the land of Jerry Kennellys. This is thought to be a very eery place and many stories are told about it. This is one of them. One night about eight o'clock three men were coming from a fair in Listowel. When they came near a certain part of the road they met a woman and they saluted her. Then she said to them to go to the fort and under a certain tree there was a big bag of gold. Then she went in through a big hedge by the road and she disappeared. The men went away home delighted at the news she told them. The next night at about twelve o'clock the three of them met and away they went to the fort with spades and pick axes.
