    Once upon a time a man and his wife were living in a small house in the middle of a bog.

    (continued from previous page)
    and she said she forgot it. The man was very vexed and he went to town for the tobacco. When he came near the bridge he saw the ghost smoking a pipe and the man asked him for a smoke and he gave it to him. The ghost said "I was coming here for seven years and you were the first man that asked me for a smoke" and the ghost vanished.
