    Old people used believe in fairies in olden times.

    cracking of whips. This man told this to a lot of his neighbours. The man lived for many years but if he heard the noise he would not go to the window again. When he died two people were standing in the road and they heard the noise of a motor car going over the new line. They went upon the ditch to see where it was going but there was no sign of it in any part of the road.
