There was once a man who lived in a Country town in Ireland a poor man who was a Catholic. After a time he became very careless about his religious duties. He began to remain from mass now and then and after a while he stopped altogether. The Parish Priest often called to his house and reminded him of the pains of hell but the man promised himself he would make every thing right on his death bed. After a few years he got sick and the priest anointed him. He was ordered from the room with threats and curses. Next day he gave consent again to bring the priest. When the messenger arrived at the priests house the priest was absent. The messenger ran to the next town where there was a Dominican Monastery. He knocked and knocked
