Long ago there was a man coming from the fair. It was very late and he had to cross a wood. He met a leprechaun, he asked the leprechaun would he take a smoke, and he said no, but he said you are very generous.
The leprechaun had a sword in his hand. He gave him the sword to protect him from the wild cats. As he was going along he saw all the wild cats. They went up on the horse's back and as they were going up he killed them one by one. The last one was a big black cat and he jumped up and the man struck him with the sword. He fell to the ground and as he was dying he said
