  1. Wood Hole this hole is on the Feale in Islandanny. It is so called because it is under neath a wood. This hole is about 25 ft deep. There was a king drowned their long ago. He was passing the Duagh road in a Chariot and he was captured and brought down to the river and thrown in and he was drowned.
    Firkin Hole is situated in Islandanny on the Feale. It is so called because old people washed their Firkins their long ago.
