  1. There is a place in the River Gale and it is called "Poll Toarbh". It is so called because it is said that a bull got drowned there and that part of the river was so deep that people who lost the bull could not find him. It is said that there is no bottom to that part of the river.
    There was a piper going around the county playing the pipes. He died out in Clounmacon and he was buried in the place where he died. It is said that if you stand over the grave when the clock is striking twelve at night you will hear the piper playing the pipes in the grave. That grave is sometimes called "Roilig an Phíobaire".
