  1. Any number of boys can play this game. One boy is picked out to follow the rest by saying
    Hide and go seek.
    The man is a sleep.
The butcher, the baker, the candle stick maker.
They all jumped out of a rotten potato.
A half a-crown on Saturday night.
And not a half-penny left on Monday morning.
The boy that the word morning falls on he will have to chase others. There is a spitting pole and any boy that spits is safe. If the chaser catches anyone that boy will be chaser the next time.
