- In Ned Stack's land of Carrueragh there is a fort and the name of it is Lios Limerick. When the Danes invaded that land, the King lived in that fort after the battle of Clontarf. When the Danes were defeated this King went back to Denmark. In his hurried retreat he forgot his razor, his towel and his soap, and he was very anxious about those treasures and he had a servant an Irish man and when he was going he left a charm over the fort that no man could enter the fort without finding a sheep in the next field to him grazing. He got three mornings to catch the sheep. The first morning he thought to grasp the sheep, and the sheep escaped, the second morning he escaped, and the third morning he caught the sheep.
