  1. Candle Maker: -
    William Keane Beenbrack Knockanure who is now about 72 years of age was a great candle maker. First he used to get the suet of a cow and melt it in a saucepan on the fire. Then he used to put the tallow into a mould, and put a thick needle through it and leave it there until the following day. Then he used to plait a piece of flax thread and put it up through the candle for a wick.
