  1. Burnings: -
    An out-house owned by Hugh Goulding Kealid, was burned accidentally on a Sunday morning in 1932. The burning included hay and other farm produce. The roof and contents of the out houses were burned.
    Plague: -
    A great sickness called the Flu ravaged this parish in 1918-1919. Many people died with it.
    Snow storm: -
    In February 1892 there was a great snow storm. It was known as to be the biggest storm in Ireland. The snow fell so heavily that the roads could not be distinguished from the ditches. People who wanted to travel, had to clear the roads with shovels. It lasted a fortnight.
