    Long ago there were two giants in Oughterard. The Connemara Giant and the Galway Giant. They had it settled that one day they would come to fight. The Connemara Giant came and the Galway Giant came.
    When the Galway Giant saw the Connemara Giant he got afraid and he ran home. The Connemara Giant got vexed and he took up a rock and he threw it after the Galway Giant and the rock fell in the Plantation where it
