There are some woods and bogs around the place .The Owen Rife is the name of the river and Lough Corrib is the name of the lake. - In the parish of Ougherard there are three holy wells. St. Michael's Well, St. Cummin's Well and St. Cuthberts Well. St Cuthberts Well is in Glann and the other two are in Oughterard and are in fields.People visit St Michaels Well on 29th of September and St Cummins Well on the 15th of October. These visits are called Stations. They go around the well seven times and drop in a stone in the well each time(continues on next page)
