- The names of the roads in Oughterard are the Ton Bhuidhe road, the Rusheeny road, the Connemara road, Station road, Bunegipan road, Colnamuc road.The Ton Bhuidhe road leads to Ton Bhuidhe and Glann. There are two roads going to Glann now because there was a new one made lately.The Rusheeny road leads to Rusheeny.
The Connemar road leads to Connemara.
The Station road leads to the Station.
The Bunegipan road leads to Bunegipan.
The Colnamuc road leads to Colnamuc.On the Colnamuc road there are a pile of stones and when ever a funeral passes they put two more stones on the pile. They say "Lord have Mercy On the Dead."There is a path going through the mountains from Gluais to Lettermore.(continues on next page)- Collector
