She turned on him with a fierce cry with the dagger in her hand. Before she could have struck him he let himself down off the horse on the other side. As quick as lightning he went around the horse and stuck her in the heart. He jumped on the horse again and went his way. The lady went into a cave in the top of the hill and died there. That put an end to the landlords collection of corn that day to this.
- Once upon a time a priest and a minister lived in a parish not far away. They had but one gardener between them. He used work three days a week for each of them. Both of his masters were very kind to him. It happened that the minister died and after his death the gardener had no work to get there.
