CrasheensTHE CRESHEENS-Name applied to the little crosses and stones heaped together as memorials as each cortege passes in the old funeral-road (Now cut off and made part of the demen) east of Cong. The Augustinians came as far as this with Processional Cross of Cong to meet every corpse, and at their expulsion meeting a funeral for the last time. Lord Abbot formed a Cross of branches and set it in the wall and said"Thus let it be done for all time"(continues on next page)
