    One time ago the people thought that a certain man or two in the parish had some gift for match - making. This man was called the match - maker. When a young man wanted to get married he'd go to the match maker and send him to ask a certain man's daughter.
    The match maker would ask several questions of the young man such as "How much land is in your name" and "Do you want much money" The match maker then would go to the girls father and ask him if he would give
