  1. The names of the roads around this district are the workhouse road, the school road, the Kilkerrin road and the chapel road.
The workhouse road leads to Creggs. Ballygar and Roscommon and the school road lead to Williamstown, Ballymoe, and Casterea and the Kilkerrin road leads to Moylough and Mountbellew and Ballinasloe and the chapel road leads to Dunmore, Tuam and Athenry.
They were made after the bad times.
There are not many old roads in this district
The men who worked on them only got three pence and had to live on it.
There are no paths or short cuts around here.
