  1. There was once a woman. She had a son and a daughter. The son was wild and the daughter was very good. There was a well near there house and it was enchanted. Music was heard every night near it. The son went out for a can of water one night. He heard the music. He felt down the can of water and started to dance. He danced untill he could not stop. He saw a man coming towards him. He carried a cane in his hand. He asked the boy was he tired of dancing. He said he was and could not stop. The old man asked him would he do what he would tell him, and he said "yes" he would. The man told him to travel the world and sleep one night in every house. He kept going round for years until one night he came to an old residence. The father was dead and the son was coming out to lock the gate. He was afraid to ask a nights lodging. The young man saw the stranger coming He asked him what was troubling him. He said he wanted a nights lodging. The man said he would give him a nights rest but the place he had for him it was also enchanted and that any body who slept in it would be killed in the morning. As he was feeling very tired he said he would chance it. The man said to him you are going in here and I will lock you up until morning. He went to rest and at two o clock, he heard a noise and the door opened and in walked three men with a
