  1. (continued from previous page)
If I die before I wake,
I pray to God my soul to take.
    If any evils cross me.
O Virgin Mary save me. Four corners on my bed.
Four angels on them spread. Mathew Mark Luke and John
God bless the bed that I lie on - - Amen.
6 As I lie down on my right hand side
I pray to God to be my guide,
If any evils come to me, oh Blessed Virgin waken me
Waken now waken for ever. ---Amen.
. 7 I must die. I don't know when where or how, but if I die in mortal sin I am lost for ever. Lord Jesus have mercy on me . Amen.
    8. I put myself under the protection of the Blessed Virgin this night to guide, guard and protect me, and keep me from all sin and danger and keep me in the state of grace. Amen.
