Flummery
Made with oaten meal hot water and mill seeds. The seeds are put into a vessel and left to soak for a few days until they get sour. Others say to boil Shearing in a pot until it is boiled to jelly. It is very good for a cough or cold.
Cheerings
(I think this is Shearings) Steep oatmeal and seeds, in a crock or tub of water for four or five days and cover with straw to keep the seed under the water. It is used for drinks and also for stirabout instead of milk.(continues on next page)
