    butter from fastening to them.
Cold water is thrown into the churn to cool the milk. The churn is put on a stick and rocked by the handle of the dash to gather the butter. It is taken out of the churn washed well and salted. It is packed into a butter dish, part of it is sold, and the remainder is kept for household use.
It a bit of butter is put away on May day nothing will happen to the butter until May day again.
If silver is put into the cream on May eve nothing will happen to the milk until May Eve again.
If anybody comes in for milk on May day he will not get because he would bring away the butter. Nobody puts down the fire until he sees it down in another house on May day.
