    There was once a blacksmith by the name of Flynn and he had a forge some-where in Corderay or Thoncurry.

    awakened by a loud knocking at the door. Flynn was called to get up quickly to shoe a horse.
    The fire is dead in the forge said Flynn. No matter get up quickly. I'll wait till you have it lit.
    Flynn got up and brought out a coal, and started the bellows. He never saw the man before and as he was used to strangers calling he never showed the least sign of inquisitiveness. Flynn turned the shoes and when he had the third turned the stranger shouted "that will do".
    Flynn fitted on the hind shoe but when he came to the fore feet he found that the horse had only one fore foot. Flynn looked up as much as to say what am I going to do now.
    He'll lift it for you said the stranger. The horse lifted his hoof and Flynn finished his work.
    Good said the stranger.
    For the first time in his life Flynn was a bit excited and frightened. "Now Flynn" said the stranger "I know you are worried and afraid, but I mean
