Come to the races won't you come
To see the boats and horses run
If you do you'll have good[?] fun
The day of the Coillte races.
We'll have all the boys along the Shannon
Some of them sitting and more of them standing
Myself and a son of Bessie Mannion
At the Coillte Races
We'll have all the boys of Aughafen
Peter Kate and Johnny Flynn
I and a boy called Larry Glynn
At the Coillte Races
We'll have all the boys round for a mile
We'll have Jimbo Shanley and Hughgo Coyle
And a sporting boy called Willie Doyle
At the Coillte Races
Says Bartley Duignan I'll go there
And upon my word I'll bring my mare
She's sure to win if she gets fair play
At the Coillte Races
