    Seamain used to be [?] off and on with a woman named Mrs Finnegan. (This Mrs Finnegan would be the grandmother of old Jas Finnegan locally known as 'Slater' who lives today beyond the Galley Bridge Drumshanbo in the second house on the right hand side of the road leading to Dundoran townland of Aughafen. Co. Roscommon. Parish Kilronan). Mrs Finnegan's husband was Estate Agent for Molloy of Oak Port Coothall Co. Roscommon.
    One day he stole a tenpenny bit from her. Later on he stole a purse containing three guineas.
    On each occasion his mother praised him for his work.
    At a young age he was an outlaw and the Revenue Men were on his track.
    He lived a hunted life in Sligo Leitrim and Roscommon.
    There was another robber named Church living at the same time, but Church was not as much dreaded as Seimin.
