    Those are then mixed with the raw ones and some flour is added and then it is all well mixed. Then the mixture is made into small cakes.
    Over the fire a pot of water is boiling in the bottom of which a few forks and spoons are thrown to keep the boxty from burning.
    The tongs is placed across the pot and a small lid is placed on it to keep the dust and soot from falling in.
    When the boxty is boiled it is placed in a basin. The boxty is eaten hot with "child's share". This food is made something similar to "corn flour" but ordinary flour is used.
