The holes from which the mud was scooped filled with water thus forming Lough Allen.
Sliab an Iarainn mountain bears a great name
For hunting and fouling and all sorts of game.
For hunting and fouling and growling also
The finest of berries on this mountains does grow
On the top of this mountains a castle does stand
Framed all with ivy and its back to the strand
At the foot of this mountain the Shannon does flow
And the boat that sails on it to Limerick does go.
