    1. To meet a red haired woman when starting on a journey is an omen of ill luck.
    2. If a person enters your house and you are churning she usually takes a "brash" at the work or if this is not done she is said to bring the butter with her.
    3. Enter and leave a house by the same door otherwise you are supposed to bring the luck with you.
