  1. There are three fairy forts in our district of which I have heard. One evening as I was walking the land I found out there was a fort situated in Drumderrig, another in Corloughlin, and a third in our own townland Aughnagallop, about a mile from Drumshanbo. They are not in view of each other, being situated a few miles apart and in different men's land.
    The one which is situated in Drumderrig is circular in shape and is surrounded by trees. There is an entrance on the right hand side of it and in the centre there is a large tree standing and a stone wall surrounding it. The own two are very much alike. They are very small and triangular in shape.
