  1. At a river near the shore of Lough Allen there is supposed to be a pot of gold hidden. About five years ago in the month of July a man named Patrick Creamer, of Derrintober, who is now deceased, was cutting hay. To his surprise he saw a large flag.
    He made the discovery known to two men named Patrick Walsh of Derrintober, and Owen MacGounty of Drumhall. They decided to go to the place. Before starting on their journey they agreed with each other that which-ever of them would
